Our sustainability project, the Emerge program is one way that we are constantly looking to better ourselves and the environment around us. As part of our Emerge program our latest project is “Checklist Connect”, a coworking office catered to women and mums to connect and grow together. Why a coworking space?
Community and teamwork are elements that we believe to be invaluable when it comes to business and life. We wanted to create a community that encourages and supports women, in particular mums to achieve their dreams. As a mum it can be quite isolating and hard to find your community of like minded women who are also pursuing business or a career, we want to create this community for our members.
How come it's called Checklist Connect?
Everyone has a ‘checklist’ of things they need to and want to achieve, we believe our community can support people in achieving and ticking off their checklists. We want to bring back connections for like minded people who run their own businesses or work from home. It can be quite lonely working from home and hard to find people in similar positions who you can collaborate with and encourage. Essentially our name reflects our goal, to help people achieve their checklists and create greater connections.
The checkpoints
We want our coworking office to be more of an experience than just a place to go for work, so we have intentionally designed it to reflect this. There are the usual office perks of free wifi, printing, tea, coffee and snacks but we also offer some incredible points of difference. The first one being access to workshops, classes and events. Some of these include fitness, yoga and dance classes with the use of the facilitie’s pools, gym, tennis and basketball courts. We are also offering craft classes, meditation and DIY activities as well as events such as a monthly book club and christmas charity fundraiser. We understand that traditional work hours don't work for everyone, so at Checklist Connect we offer 5 hour windows to use our coworking space in either the morning, afternoon or evening.
